Google Offers A Free 4 Weeks Virtual Science Camp for Kids
July 7, 2015
Google Camp is a new project from Google to provide kids with an opportunity to experiment with and learn through project-based science activities. This virtual camp is provided for free and is geared towards kids ages 7-10 but kids of all ages are welcome to join. The goal of the camp is to ‘encourage kids to ask questions, setting them on a lifelong journey of exploration and discovery’ through fun, interactive science activities and adventures.
Google Camp runs for four weeks starting on July 13. Each week covers a specific theme: ocean week, space week, music week, and nature week. No registration is required to take part in this summer camp. According to Google, some of the activities will require the use of common household items and parents are invited to come together and share the learning and view activities beforehand.
Google Camp is born out of a partnership between Google, Khan Academy, National Geographic Kids, NASA and National Parks. Watch the video below to learn more about Google Camp.
