A Great App for Extracting High Quality Photos from Videos
September 8, 2015
SnapStill is a handy iPad app to use to extract photos from videos. This app is free today and only for a limited period of time. SnapStill allows you to pull out high quality shots from any video in your Photos library. The way this works is very simple: you simply select a video, then you scroll to the frame where you want to grab a photo and press the save button or double-tap the video. For precise frame-by-frame control, drag your finger directly on the video.
SnapStill also includes ’Suggestions’ feature which enables the app to conduct automatic searches to find the best shots to snap from a given video. Alternatively, you can deactivate the Suggestions feature and simply push on the video. For those of you who have upgraded to iOS 8, you can even use SnapStill directly within the Photos app—just pick a video and select the SnapStill extension.
