Tons of Free Classroom Activities to Physically Engage Students
January 19, 2016
GoNoodle is an excellent free classroom resource to use with your students. It provides tons of brain break activities to physically, mentally and emotionally engage students. Some of these brain breaks are also aligned with core subjects so students can perform better and develop different skills including memory and fluency in math, spelling and vocabulary.
Brain break are movement designed activities that are only five minutes or less and can be used flexibly before, during or after the lesson and without having to leave the classroom environment. From Mega Math Marathon to Bodyspell, students get to participate in a variety of purposeful movement designed to get the wiggles out and refocus the classroom. GoNoodle is free of charge but it does require registration. The website also offers GoNoodle Plus that provides enough activities to engage students for the entire school year. Check out this page to see some examples of activities provided by GoNoodle. Enjoy
