4 Excellent Resources for Math Teachers

Below is a collection of some very good apps and tools for math teachers. The first two apps are educational games that engage students in math learning through playful interaction. As for Math Access and Elevated Math, these are websites that feature helpful resources and materials curated specifically for math teachers. Enjoy

1- Matific


Matific is an excellent math application that provides tons of games and activities designed specifically to help young learners develop mathematical and problem solving skills.

2- Math Monsters- Bingo


This is another excellent app that helps students learn math through playful interaction. The app is free today for a limited period of time. Math Monsters enables learners to practice math through a Bingo-styled game play.’It  has several unique features like individual player profiles, high scores and ranks along with an interesting "Reward Jump" game.The objective of the Math Monsters game is to find the Math Monsters hidden under the tiles as you answer math questions correctly from the available four games.’

3- Access Maths
This is a great website created by a Maths teacher from Birmingham. ‘Access Maths is a website created to share and store maths resources and maths games for maths teachers. It has been born from a passion for well structured and enjoyable maths resources with an aim to inspire both teachers and students in the field of mathematics.These maths resources are aimed to help teachers engage students within the maths curriculum, by presenting the work in a way which will excite the pupils and most importantly help them learn!’

4- Elevated Math



‘Elevated Math provides initial instruction or intervention on math topics that cover place value, estimation, large digit addition all the way through Algebra I (two years of math instruction!). It comes with two complimentary lessons and one complimentary career video. Besides these lessons the user can purchase additional lessons individually or in bundles.’
