Below is a collection of some new web tools and applications that we want to bring to your attention. You can use them for different educational purposes, our goal is to help you stay updated about the latest releases in the world of educational technology. Some of the things you can do with these tools include: Curate and bookmark online content to your Google account so you can access it across different devices, save web pages directly to your Facebook’s ‘saved’ section so you can read them later, improve your writing style by eliminating convoluted jargon and incomprehensible terms from your text,  discover trending news using a world map, convert web pages to PDFs and create cool and funny animations. 1- Save to Google


‘Easily save interesting webpages to Google with the new Save to Google extension. One-click save: Click the star to save webpages for later viewing. Easily navigate your saves via an intuitive visual UI. One spot for webpages and Images: Your saved webpages and saved images from Google Image Search will live together at google.com/save. Organize your images: Add Tags to organize your saved webpages and images.’

2- Save to Facebook


This is similar to Save to Google extension. It allows you to easily save any web page to your Facebook’s ‘saved’ section so you can read it later across different devices.  To access your saved content, visit www.facebook.com/saved

3- Heat Map News


Heatmap News gives you a quick overview of what is happening in the world right now. It provides a unique perspective by presenting the most important news’ on a word map. You simply click on a location on the map to see trending news in that area. Heat Map collects news from Google News.

4- Athena PDF


If you want a simple tool to use for converting web pages to PDFs, you should give Athena PDF a try.  Just grab the URL of the webpage you want to convert and paste it in the conversion box and hit ‘try it out’; a PDF version of the webpage will be opened in another tab where you can download to print it off.

5- Easy Write

This is a cool tool to use to write in a style that is jargon-free. as you write Easy Text automatically detects and highlights uncommon words so you can change them with frequently used ones.
