Another Collection of Some Good Google Drive Add-ons for Teachers

Google Drive is quickly becoming an elementary component in teachers toolkit. Besides its cloud storage services, Drive provides a powerful suite of tools to create, edit, and share documents, presentations, visuals, and spreadsheets. Our section ‘ Google Drive for Teachers’ embeds a wide variety of resources and materials to help teachers tap into the educational potential of this platform. We also do regular reviews of educational add-ons to integrate with Google Drive. In today’s post, we are sharing with you a collection of the recent add-ons we have reviewed in the last few weeks in case you missed them. Enjoy

Google Docs Add-ons

This is a great add-on to use to automatically changed the case of selected blocks of text. It actually supports uppercase, lowercase, first letter capitals,sentence case capitalization and title case capitalization.

2- Capitals


Capitals is another good Google Docs tool that allow you to easily convert between uppercase, lowercase and small caps. You simply select a block of text and choose whether you want to make uppercase, lowercase, add or remove small caps.

3- Remove Line Breaks



As its name indicates, this Google Docs add-on lets you easily remove line breaks from pasted text. Next time you past a portion of text and turns out into uneven lines, with one click Remove Line Breaks formats you text and gives it that neat and compact lool by eliminating all the breaks

Google Sheets Add-ons

1- Online Rubric
This is an excellent add-on you can use to create online customizable rubrics for a wide variety of assignments that include: presentations, performance, and participation grades. The add-on allows you to easily share grades with students via email and in case you have pre-made rubrics and rosters from other platforms, Online Rubric makes it easy for you to upload and use them in your current sheet. 2- gClassFolders


“gClassFolders (gCF) helps teachers manage digital classroom workflow when using Google Apps with their students. It does this by creating folders with specific permissions. Each Classroom will be setup with:“Assignment” folders, “Class Edit”, “Class View”, and “Teacher” folder. Once the folders are created teachers can manage students and distribute files.”


‘Flubaroo is a FREE add-on to Google Forms/Sheets which lets you quickly grade and analyze student performance on multiple choice and fill-in assignments. Within a minute you'll be able to:
  * Get scores for each student, and identify students in need of extra help.
  * View average score, and a histogram of scores.
  * Quickly identify questions which a majority of the students missed.
  * Email students their scores, along with optional notes to the class and/or to each student.
  * Assign your own score to open-ended questions.’

4- Doctopus

5- Super Quiz


‘Super Quiz adds brilliant functionality to a quiz made with Google Forms. By completing the quiz once with an answer key, all future submissions are automatically graded correct or incorrect. What’s more - you can get a break down of class understanding and a list of incorrect students for each question - perfect for intervention!’
