Consumer Reports now recommends MacBook Pros
Apple’s updated software is available now through Apple’s Beta Software Program, and will be rolled out in a full Software Update to all users in several weeks. Apple says the new software fixes a bug inside Safari settings that caused the poor battery-life results in Consumer Reports testing. Earlier this week, Apple said that the setting in question is not “used by customers, and does not reflect real-world usage.”
A Consumer Reports recommendation carries considerable weight with some prospective buyers so the latest results have to cheer the gang in Cupertino.
