This week’s Apps G5one Free series features five interesting educational apps that are free right now and only for a limited period of time (free at least  in the Canadian and American iTunes App Stores). Apart from the time management app (Time Manager) all of the remaining apps are geared towards young learners. They allow them to learn basic literacy skills, numeracy, spelling, drawing in 3D and many more. Check them out and see which ones work for you. Enjoy

1- Time Manager
‘Time Manager is an easy way to keep track of your daily activities. With one touch you can access all your common tasks and edit them at any time. All your tasks will be totaled and broken down into reports and graphs for you to see how well you're spending your time. You can even email these reports so that your records are never lost.’

2- Draw in 3d

‘Everyone knows how to draw on paper, but only a few know how to create objects in 3d. Draw in 3d aims to close this gap by providing a unique and intuitive approach to 3d-modeling. Now drawing in 3d is just as easy as drawing on a piece of paper!’

3- Coloring Farm Animal Coloring Book For Kids Games

This colouring app can be used with kids to teach them a wide variety of literacy topics. It’s so much fun to play and offer interesting features like hints to help young players, includes different animal shapes, no ads included and many more.

4- Trilo Spelling

‘Trilo Spelling is an educational and adventurous phonics based spelling game for kids grades K-2. Follow the friendly ghost Spooka, the one-eyed mummy Sling and the funny zombie Frank through multiple spelling levels in the enchanting Trilo World while collecting puzzle pieces for hours of fun and learning.’

5- Tiggly Doctor: Spell Verbs and Perform Actions Like a Real Doctor

‘Let your kid be a doctor for one day! Examine a patient, make up action verbs, and perform the operations. A series of unexpected (and funny) operations – like pulling a dancing worm out with a forceps, snipping a leaky hose in a patient’s nose, and putting a floating rib back into place with your pliers.’
