Google Maps Is Releasing An Important New Feature

Google announced the news of a new feature coming to Google Maps called location sharing. Users will soon be able to share their location in real-time from their Google Maps app on Android and iOS. With a few taps you can let your friends know the exact location where you are and the time you are expected to arrive. Whoever you share your location with will be able to see you on they map and they will also know about your trip progress, follow your journey and view your expected arrival time. Data about your location can be shared with people in your Google contacts, or with friends and family through a generated link sent via your favourite messenger app.At any time you can stop sharing your location. This new feature is rolling out soon worldwide.
‘Whenever you want to let someone know where you are, just open the side menu or tap the blue dot that represents where you are. Tap “Share location” and then select who to share with and how long to share—and you're done! You can share your real-time location with your Google contacts, or even share with friends and family by sending a link on your favorite messenger apps. When you’re sharing your location, the people you’ve chosen to share with will see you on their map.’
